If you have contact with someone on the old temp site, and they have not signed in here yet.
Can you let them know they need to create a NEW account here.

I am watching Ip's from both sites and can see sooo many people getting warnings, ie your username and password are incorrect etc.

Thanks

I did have that problem as you know, but now sorted cos here i am. But wondered ( in time) how new members will be able to get on site that have not registered with the temporary site? I mean us lot arenot a bad bunch :D but sure there's lots of new exciting potential 247'eners out there. As for creating a new account the only way I found this site was through your PM and then I had to register existing details. It still does not come up on an internet search- the last time I tried.

Perhaps Ben will open it up fully when it's all sorted

Cindy, what exactly do you mean? Just how will peeps find us? Do you mean, or something else?

We can leave the old temp site in place & if people join there we can re-direct them to here.

Any new members will just register like any other website, we have NO connection here, with the temp forum at idigitize. no usernames, no passwords, nothing. If people have chosen the same names, like most of us have, then that is just that, thier choice. We are a totally new forum.

As for how will people find us, well some might by chance of course.
But I, We, have done nothing to promote the site on google yet. Google bots will find us soon enough. (infact we are the fifth result for searching tog247 lol).
We need to fine tune everything here with the 30 odd of us, make sure it is all going well. Tie up any loose ends etc. Then we can persue the 'how we get found on the web issue'.

Like you say cindy "(in time)".

That will probably be a few weeks away.

I think what I found confusing was migrating from the temp to this site thinking that the registration and log in page were the same and the two were connected. But as you pointed out they are not so that solves that one.

Re the finding us thing - Ben you have answered that question - just thinking ahead. If you find me skipping ahead with things/suggestions or questions its my enthusiasm (not my impatience) which is spilling out..so just to let you know and to give you advance warning. You can always put me in the naughty corner if it gets too much.:banghead:

what's the diff between a junior member and a senior member?

The amount of posts. I think you have to reach 100 before you get to senior, and 30 before progressing from Junior to member. I asked the same question a while back :moose:
