We had 5000 leaflets printed, collected them Monday morning from the printers. Really good quality as I'd not seen the finished product until we got 5000 of them! (Ben had obviously)
We started posting them yesterday. My FEET! OMG it's like being back on the post! The sun was far too hot but we've got thru about 1250 so hopefully the phone will start ringing soon :top: It will be compensation for the blisters :( Just 3500 to go
Ben got a call after about 10 mins of posting one yesterday so a job coming up already...yeyyyyyy

Dog Cleaning?
All that photographic talent and your cleaning dogs?
Why not take their pics after their spruce up and try flogging them to the punters? :)

Thanks BB :top:
We're just in the process of adding a new bit to my website, it has temp pics on at the moment but hopefully ppl can see what sort of thing they are getting.
I just remember when my kids were little, the reason i wouldn't get their portraits done was because the company would always con you into buying more than you want or offer you a free print then pop up with a sitting fee. I want to just do portraits with no catches, no hidden blurb etc :)

That's a great leaflet Stef, just a question do they get any pic's on a cd at all or just the two prints? Glad you got your first call and i'm sure you will get plenty more:top:

Thanks Kim. For the smallest package as on the leaflet, they get a 10x8 and four 7x5's. We're gonna do a DVD of all images, semi-edited (cropped) for £100 or £50 with any print package. Or we'd make nowt LOL

I would say you got it about right, having looked around. I put a poster in a few local places and now realise i have probably made them too cheap.

they do indeed vary alot, just depends on what your looking to achieve. my prices are low,but this is to get people to spend £££. as i found that if i offer 1 10"x8" say and a few other sizes or if i offer 2 or 3 "10x8" and a few other sizes. my profit margins wernt really effected to much, my mission statement is very similar to most people on here, and that i offer good ,honest photography without any catches or hard sells and let the images do the selling. if people are happy with your work then they will commend you to there friends and family.well this is what i hope anyway LOL:)
Hope your feet have recovered Steff, is it possible to email your poster so maybe we could email it to others? I don't know anyone who would want their photo but maybe they would with their dog. A good place to distribute them would be at a local show, say Cholmondely Castle, the Nantwich Show or Tatton Park. It would be a nice day out too. I'm thinking you could put them under windscreen wipers in the car park.

thanks for your input Bryan, definitely good to hear from a pro who is out there doing it. Nice to see you have the good honest policy too, i think it's the only way to go with things like this.
Ron, I like the idea of going to shows & the windscreen wipers too. We shall look into it & see what's on. We had a look around a few new ish estates near Leighton hospital last night, there sure are a lot of houses to post up there, if you google map the Mills Way estate in Crewe, made my feet ache going round it in the car!!
Thanks so much for the ideas Ron, very much appreciated :top:

I think wiper sticking is a waste of leaflets, ppl will sling them and then you could be in trouble for litter. It is a dodgy one & personally, I hate them. Through the letter box gets more ppl looking at them before they throw them.

that was my reason for adding the 10% off with the leaflet, maybe, just maybe it might make a few people keep the leaflet longer.
