April Competition - Mono - An Introduction

An easy introduction this month - it's a virtual "Open" competition - anything that you want provided that it's in mono, so get your imagination and editing skills into gear, but remember that selective colouring is not mono!
Many images are said top cry out for mono, so here's your chance.

Remember also that it says "Mono" and not "B and W", so whilst Black and White is just fine, so is blue and white, brown and white, and so on.

It's good to think about why mono can work? It's often because other elements of the picture are more important, shape - texture - contrast to name a few.

Sometimes it can simply be the mood of an image is better reflected in mono without the distraction of colours.
