I really fail to see how they can stay alive! Called into the Coventry branch today. (I keep telling myself not to - they must be the worst one!)

All I wanted was some lens cleaning fluid. Hanging on the rack behind the counter was a largish bottle of 'cleaning fluid', £3. "Is that OK for lenses?" I asked.

"Oh no, you mustn't use that, it'll damage your lens"

"OK", I said, "Do you have any lens cleaning fluid?"

"No, We don't stock that. But we can order it for you"

We bought our D300's from jessops, at the time they also sold the Canon 5d.
Now you'd be lucky to find a D60 or a 500d in stock.
They sell about 20 point and shoots
About 500 styles of lowepro bags,
The most expensive range of sandisk cards ever,
A tripod that looks heavier than a roofrack, but too flimsy to support its own weight.
10 machines for printing your own shots, about 8 of which are usually out of order, the other 2 are the ones that dont accept DVD's

I would have thought their best way to survive would have been to make themselves as different and more specialised than currys, comet, asda, etc etc as possible, but they seem to have gone the same route. They just charge more and seem to employ staff that are trained to patronise any customer more.

Thats because all the DVD slots have SD cards jammed in them!!! People do it all the time y'know!
