And its another Canon...:shocked: If Canon are going to be this good - then why can't they make a decent camera??? :D But I jest....
My trusty Canon i350 printer has served me well but nobody seems to do a CISS for it.. So I had a look around and found a Canon iP4600 WITH a pre-filled CISS kit for £86. So I checked the reviews on the iP4600.
The biggest gripe seemed to be that it was advertised as being able to print on CD/DVD surfaces but some people found the facility missing. Apparently that facility was withdrawn for the US market (or never introduced) but mine has the CD tray supplied with it and works fine on the right type of CD.
Despite being only a 5 ink system, claims of it being Canon's 'flagship' A4 photo printer seem to stand their ground well. The 'FINE' printhead is able to produce such small droplets that the light magenta and light cyan are not required. So far my results seem to back up that claim. Photo print quality exceeds my old i350 by quite a lot and I was already happy with that one.
Fitting the CISS was really easy and I didn't get too much ink on my hands, I'm sure it will wear off in a month or so :D
