This evening I received the following e-mail:

Dear Ron

I was a supporter/member of Wakefield RFC until its sad demise in 2004.

Recently I have been writing a newsletter remembering the club through use of memorabilia - most from my collection, which is circulated to former players and supporters.

Whilst researching for the latest issue, I came across your photos and I would like to include them in a future issue as good photos such as yours of the club from the seventies are hard to find.

I have attached a copy of "Burglar Bill" for your interest/reference.

Thank you for your time.

Richard Lowther.

Needless to say, I am now looking at my archive albums with a big smile over my face.:)

Fantastic Ron :top: So lovely to receive recognition isn't it.

Congratulations.

When you dig out these archives from the 70's can you share any...?

Yes I will, but sport doesn't seem to generate a lot of interest on here!

What may be of interest though is that they were all shot the "old" way - film, manual focus, and taking light readings off the grass!
