1. Duplicate image: Layer>Duplicate Layer.

2. Change Saturation: Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation, upto 50+

3. Add Gaussian Blur: Filter>Blur>Guassian Blur, 2-6px (I use 2), click OK.

4. Blend layers in Clour Mode.

5. Flatten Image: Layer>Flatten Image


Doing it this way avoids making the image blocky when you up the saturation quite a bit.

Thanks Stewart, will have to try this. The only thing is point 4 blend layer in colour mode not sure if this can be done in elements, anyone know?

yes it is I use this but I always for get the blur

It softens the pixel edges so the colour sats dont look blocky

I do this to most of my colour images,especially shots like the fairground ones I posted elsewhere a little while back. :)
