This is using the Mogrify plug-in (http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lrmogrify.php) for Lightroom 2. Just wanted to show my settings for exporting to TOG.

You would install it & set it up how you want it. Mine is set to export correct image & file sizes for this site

I set mine up very similar. I did one setup with a white border, another with a black border, then another pair with the Panoramic dimensions. A brilliant prog that saves loads of time trying to guess what compression settings to use. :top:

I have this main one that puts a border, you can see it's one of the closed panels in the screenshot (didn't want to confuse issues)
I have a no border version for pics I have added a border to in PS & the Pano one :top: Definitely makes life easier

Im not 100% on this, but maybe 99% :)

I just noticed your quality slider is set to 95% and you have LR sharpening but no mogrify sharpening.

I think, and this is a think.. that the export goes through the order in the list..

Therefore, you are making your pic 95% quality, then sharpening.. then it gets resized and squished to fit 200kb.

You want the LR set to 100%, and not to sharpen till after the resize.

I think again thats why Mogrify has its own sharpening. :top:

Having said that LR 3 is out anyway, that of course has its own built in squish to 200kb!

I have found some improvements already, the noise reduction and sharpening are really good. Takes out 'grain' without blurring the details - much better.

Those settings above, I see you are using sRGB. Am I wrong to be using ProPhotoRGB??

Yes... if its for TOG.

Always SRGB for the WEB !!!

I use pro photo for all my workflow until final output, then its converted to the profile of its destination.

No reason to throw colour information away till you know where its going to end up.
But if its displayed publicly on the web in a browser. SRGB is the only option.
