New Macro Lens

Fidget (Bridget) and I have treated ourselves to a mocro lens for her Panansonic GF1 and my G1. It's the Leica/Panasonic 45mm f/2.8 - 22. Thrilled with the results so far even tough they have been limited to the inside of daffodils and sections of 50p pieces. Amazing shallow DOF for f20, goes to show how important using a tripod is.

The lens gets very good reviews, dont forget to use it for some portraits too, perfect length for that.

I can imagine a ringflash appearing on the shopping list soon.

Great pic there, nice and sharp :top:

But there are a few dust specs and I suspect they may be on the sensor, not the flower?? That is the problem with using small apertures, they show the "dust bunnies" a lot more. :(

thats also a problem with micro four thirds. the sensor is exposed to the elements ever time you remove the lens, no mirror and shutter system in the way of it.
