why are there different lights

ok after using some studio lights at my evening class I started looking at kit and now im confused. I see a lot of different options 200ws 250ws 400ws 500ws.

is this important ?

and what is the difference?

POWER!!!!! it depends on the space etc your going to be using, depending how close to the subject your lights will be etc, as the further from the subject the less powerfull the light becomes. 200w lights are more than enough for home/small studio use, however if your wanting to work a large area in like a warehouse then obviuosly youll need more powerfull lights!

the kit i got are 250watt and seem to be more than enough for what i need. ive only used them a few times but im happy so far.

200w lightsare the ones i am using and they are more than enough for my little home studio (Kitchen table with a small studio table on )

thanks guy's that makes sense now. I kept looking at bowen 500w kit but now I know I dont need that much power I can have a look at something a little cheaper

is the kit i have. their customer service is really good too. i had a problem with the wireless trigger, they sent me one out next day delivery, asked if i wanted it before 12 and i said afternoon would be better. told me they only had either all day or before 12 options. i got an email a couple of hours later saying my delivery was scheduled for between 1 and 2 next day :)

wow a lot more kit than you get with bowens or lasolite Might be worth investing in these

those are great lights (the elementals) i use them for every shoot and theyaccesories are top notch too. plus it uses the bowens mount so there are endless optional accesories available to you,
