Photo of The Year

Ben's comments on Jeni's POW got me thinking.

Might be interesting to load all POW's and have a Photo of The Year, and let the members vote them down to a final selection of, say, six finalists for a second vote.

Worth debating.

We have had 26 different winners, in 38 weeks.

This is the first time i have added up those numbers, and im extremely happy with them too.

We have members that post regularly and members that post in short bursts, I dont see how it could possibly be better.

On a basic Rule, Picture of the week is picked because it is thought to be Picture of the week, regardless of previous winners.

If that meant we had only 1 winner in 38 weeks, then it would be fair. The fact we've had 26 is amazing.

But you got me thinking.

Looking back on the past winners is something i try not to do, so it doesn't influence my choice when choosing a new POW.

So it was quite surprising to see.
