Thom Hogan....
D300 and D300s Guide
Jan 25 (news)--The Third Edition of my Complete Guide to the Nikon D300 and D300s is here. I'm going to ship it starting on Wednesday, February 3rd (the date of Nikon's next big press conference, by the way; no, they're not announcing my Complete Guide ;~). Beginning today I'm opening up orders again for the work (start by clicking on the link in the right column).

"priceless" ? But quite expensive.. Do they contain much more than the manual that comes with the camera?
Honest opinion Ben.... Worth the money.??

I can send you a 'Copy' of the d300 version. or bring it to brummy actually.
Yes is my honest answer. but best read a bit for yourself. not sure how many changes there have been between the 300 and 300s but of course some will apply.
I found it a great resource to have, yes it holds a hell of a lot more than the manual.
But i have 'purchased' other nikon field guides that are a complete waste of money.
The Thom Hogan guide is awesome.
Nigel, did you ever read that digital book I gave you with the D80?

Several times Paul, very interesting read every time but didn't teach much. Got very technical in parts too. Some bits seemed a bit dated so I wondered how much was a general compilation of facts

Looks interesting, but I'm still trying to get to grips with the manual! :D
I bought a Scott Kelby book recently which is packed full of good hints and tips, one of three, so I thought I'd try one and work up from there :)

Nigel, you get a lot more than just the book too.
Charts, spreadsheets software bits n bobs, photoshop actions, movies, settings to install.

Still waiting patiently.... I've had the call to confirm serial number so it should be in the system, I was looking at the SB900's in Currys yesterday and they're huge great mother's as well aren't they (see HK Grip thread) :D
