I have just added my website address to my signature box.
Be nice and have a look and tell me what you think (still in the early stages).
Are there too many pages?
How about the layout etc...?
Thank You. :)

had a look stew, you have some cracking shots on there, i'm not convinced by the layout though, only 4 images per page means a lot of clicking and loading.
Also, 4 "full size" images on the page means that they are all competing for your attention
personally, I find the clicpic type approach, with a greater number of thumbnails per page, more user friendly. Although this require almost as much clicking, you cna get an idea of whats there from the thumb, and look at the larger version of what you like.
or maybe thats because its what im used to?
hth

I have had a quick look and bookmarked it Stewart so that I can go back later.
Looks attractive, but the first thing that struck me is that I can't see how to buy your images.

Stew the images are very impressive. I am indeed impressed :top: I agree it would be nice if you had more info on how to contact you for work/projects and if you put a link to istock or photoshop perhaps for images to be downloaded or sold. I will go back and have another look as there's lots to see. :outta:
the images you have used images great, the website though i think needs a little more work. the home page is fine, but i find the links down the lhs a bit awkward. i like the layout of clikpic too, nice and simple which gives most emphasis onto the pictures being showcased.
i think its the numbers that do it. if there were just the headings down the lhs, and each link then opened up a new page with either all the images on, or a few pages to scroll through with the 4 per page on it may be better.

As I mentione it is early stages and as yet I haven't done the contacts and links page.
I get what you say about the image sizes and the like and will look into this.
This is a free site so just using it to test the waters at the moment, bit of a see what I can do shop window.
I will eventually add the site to my business cards as people keep stopping me and asking if I have a website where they can see my work.
Looking into buying pictures is something else I have to get sorted.
Thanks again everyone, I might ask for further thoughts later on. :top:

I cant see a link to my website? :D
With the Title "Stewart Smith Photographer" I personally think it would read better "Photographer - Stewart Smith" or "Stewart Smith Photography".
On the home page the colours of the 2 images go really well together, so that is easy on the eye, as well as being great captures. Maybe one downside, is the amount of different character sizes, its normally best to keep it down to 2 or 3.
I think your galleries need a little work, more of a structure. But again I cant fault the pictures!! I think maybe a slide show, where the user can move at their own pace would be a good idea... because they could view the bigger image and see more detail.
Like others have mentioned a contact page would be good!

Linkys have yet to be done so be nice and I might add yours. :)
Contact page is on list to do too.
Font sizes used are normal, medium and Large...I make that 3!!
The banner one is automatic so not an option to change it (at least I don't think there is anyway). :)

Thanks Stef.
I made the pics bigger because it has been said on here and the other place that the thumbnails don't do the images justice and the thinking was if they are bigger then people might be more likely to look at the bigger version.
The copyright isn't too distracting is it?

I don't think it is at all, it's gotta be done. It doesn't spoil the images for me, they are stunning. Now, tell me how you do it :D
