this is not a whinge as such, but the three pictures ive uploaded tonight have lost quite a bit of quality on the way. they appear blurry and slightly out of focus to me, yet the same files on the computer are how the originals are before resizing and saving.

any ideas?

Jeni, I've just compared my Chester one online with the copy on the comp, they look identical except the one online is ever so slightly paler, just a tiny fraction.
The quality looks identical. I wonder if it's to do with the browser settings? :confuse:

strange jeni, i dont think the site is doing anything to them, not the full versions anyway, the site creates a thumbnail version, a mid sized version, but the large one is the same pic as you upload.

very strange. shall i send the resized pics to Stef, then you can test the upload see if it happens to you?

I use IrfanView to re size and the quality is about the same as per original
